InfoArch: Design Education- POV website (FINAL)

This is the website I made with CSS and HTML in Dreamweaver to present two different essays by two designers concerning the topic of design education. Both designers, Gordon Salchow and Paula Scher, voice their opinion of what constitutes a proficient graphic design education. Gordon's essay, Two Myths About Design Education, discusses ideology, proper balance of curriculum, and ideas like "good designers are not always good teachers but good teachers are always good designers." Paula's essay, Back to Show and Tell, talks about how the technical jargon being used in today's design education has become unnecessary and may bore students away from the real meaning of visual communication. She also discusses the apprenticeship method that she effectively uses and prefers.
I present biographies of both designers, including examples of their work and links to external sources for more information about them.
The actual essays are given in full length for the viewer to read, but in order to make the read quicker, I highlighted key statements in each designer's essay. I tried to emphasize main points that would give the reader a quick and overall summary of what each person is saying.
